Η Τίνα Τέρνερ (αγγλικά: Tina Turner, όνομα γέννησης: Άννα Μέι Μπούλοκ [Anna Mae Bullock]) (26 Νοεμβρίου 1939 – 24 Μαΐου 2023) ήταν Ελβετίδα, προηγουμένως Αμερικανίδα (1939-2013), τραγουδίστρια, τραγουδοποιός, ηθοποιός, χορεύτρια και συγγραφέας. Απέκτησε φήμη με το συγκρότημα Kings of Rhythm του Άικ Τέρνερ, προτού ηχογραφήσει τα δικά της singles τόσο μαζί με τον Άικ Τέρνερ όσο και ως σόλο ερμηνεύτρια. Ήταν μια από τις καλλιτέχνιδες με τις περισσότερες πωλήσεις δίσκων στον κόσμο, αναφέρεται ως η Βασίλισσα του Ροκ εντ ρολ και έχει πουλήσει πάνω από 200 εκατομμύρια δίσκους και singles παγκοσμίως. Ήταν γνωστή για την ενεργητικότητα που έβγαζε πάνω στην σκηνή, για τα δυναμικά της φωνητικά και για την μακρόχρονη καριέρα της. Σύμφωνα με το βιβλίο των Ρεκόρ Γκίνες, η Τέρνερ έχει πουλήσει τα περισσότερα εισιτήρια σε συναυλίες από οποιονδήποτε καλλιτέχνη στην ιστορία της μουσικής.

Η Τέρνερ γεννήθηκε στο Νάτμπους του Τενεσί. Έζησε σχεδόν σε όλες τις νοτιοανατολικές πολιτείες των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών και ξεκίνησε να τραγουδά στις τοπικές εκκλησιαστικές χορωδίες. Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της το 1958 ως τραγουδίστρια με το συγκρότημα Kings of Rhythm του Άικ Τέρνερ, αρχικά κάνοντας ηχογραφήσεις με το όνομα “Little Ann”. Βιογραφία

Γεννήθηκε το 1939 ως Άννα Μέι Μπούλοκ στο Μπράουνσβιλ του Τενεσί Το 1960, ο σύντροφός της και συνεργάτης της, Άικ Τέρνερ, άλλαξε το όνομά της σε Τίνα Τέρνερ.

Το 1962 παντρεύτηκε τον Άικ Τέρνερ και ο γάμος τους έληξε το 1978. Σύμφωνα με όσα έγραψε η Τέρνερ στην αυτοβιογραφία της, ο σύζυγός της ήταν βίαιος και την κακοποιούσε συχνά. Το 1985 γνώρισε τον Έρβιν Μπαχ, τον οποίο παντρεύτηκε το 2013. Την ίδια χρονιά, απέκτησε την ελβετική υπηκοότητα και αποποιήθηκε την αμερικανική.

Απεβίωσε στις 24 Μαΐου 2023, σε ηλικία 83 ετών.

Καριέρα

Η καριέρα της ξεκίνησε τη δεκαετία του 1950 και στη συνέχεια τραγουδούσε μαζί με τον Άικ Τέρνερ. Στο τέλος της δεκαετίας του 1970 ξεκίνησε η σόλο καριέρα της.

Έγινε ευρέως γνωστή και αναγνωρίστηκε παγκοσμίως. Έχει κερδίσει οκτώ Βραβεία Γκράμι, εκ των οποίων τα τρία είναι τιμητικά. Επίσης, έχει εισαχθεί μαζί με τον Άικ Τέρνερ στο Rock and Roll Hall of Fame και έχει το δικό της αστέρι στη Λεωφόρο της Δόξας στο Χόλυγουντ και στο St. Louis Walk of Fame.[30] Το 2005 τιμήθηκε με το Βραβείο Κένεντι.
